Soaking It All In

It was a wonderful, amazing, not-exactly-according-to-plan but still the type of Christmas my dreams have been made of. Just take a look at all the happiness and joy we squeezed in over the course of just a couple of days.
We welcomed a brand new grandson just in time for our Christmas celebration.
ALL EIGHT of our children, our son-in-law, our daughter-in-law, our son-in-law-to-be, and FIVE grandchildren together, in one place, at the same time!
Baking with the grandkids makes it all extra sweet.
Luke turned 20 - a sad thing - for the first time in 14 years I'll have no teenager in our home, well, not for a couple of years, anyway.
A Bridal Shower for Caitlin, from the sweet ladies in our family and a few dear friends.
The Wonder and Excitement on Christmas Morning

And now it is time to clean up and clear out and put away the trappings and trimmings, but also time to keep alive daily the Christ we have spent time remembering and worshiping and rejoicing over.
