Declutter Bugs were busy in the kitchen

In January, my little Big Helpers earned a little extra cash by cleaning and purging some kitchen drawers for me.  Just take a look at what a great job they did:

 Silverware Drawer - Before

Doesn't look too bad 'cause you can't see the crumbs & stickiness in the tray
and all the oddments under the tray

Silverware Drawer - After

Sippy-Cup Drawer - Before

yes, my baby is 5 1/2.
yes, I still had enough cups/lids to serve drinks at a large pre-school.
don't ask why. I couldn't tell you.
Sippy-Cup Drawer - After
just a few left for visiting littles, a couple travel sippies, silly straws contained

AND NOW! FOR THE BIG FINALE!
(drum roll please)

TA DAAAA!!!!!

My DeClutter Crew did an amazing job. We tossed a lot, donated some, and found new homes for many items. Such a great feeling!

I'm linking this post up with Nony's January Declutter Update at A Slob Comes Clean.

  1. I love the picture of the kids on the blanket working on the junk drawer! The after picture is great. I bet you can even open and close that drawer now, and find what you need, too. I feel inspired to tackle my junk drawer this weekend.

  3. Thanks for the sweet words, ladies. Yep, getting the kids to help was a great motivator for me -- and helped them with learning some life-lessons. Who would have thought decluttering could be educational. Plenty of practice sorting and problem-solving.
